SynQ Social — The World Synq'd Your Way

Your messages and contacts are never stored on our servers — or anyone else's. But you can choose to back them up if you want.

When you enable backup, your data is encrypted on your device and stored on decentralized storage (like IPFS), where only you hold the decryption key. No one else can read, access, or retrieve it — not even us.

Restoring your messages or contacts on a new phone is as simple as unlocking your secure key. Lose the key, and the backup stays encrypted forever. That's real control.

Most apps route messages through their own infrastructure. Even if they're encrypted, your activity flows through a centralized relay they own.

SynQ Social doesn't work like that. When you message someone, it's direct peer-to-peer. No middleman, no routing servers, no control channel.

It's not just encrypted. It's unrouteable by design. That's why messages don't leave a trail.

When you share a file on SynQ Social, it doesn't get uploaded to the cloud forever.

Instead, it's encrypted, sent via decentralized storage, and access is granted using time-bound cryptographic keys. You choose how long that file remains accessible. Once the key expires, the file becomes unreadable — even if someone saved the link.

Those are digital rights you actually own.

Unlike most apps that route calls through central relay servers, SynQ Social initiates calls directly between devices. There's no server in the middle, no logs, and no ability to intercept or record your conversation.

This isn't just privacy. It's absence. No traces. No fallback copies.

When you see someone's location on the map, you're not pinging a central server. You're syncing with people you follow, encrypted and temporary.

We don't store map history. We don't index location trails. We don't track anything.

Every marker is real-time, voluntary, and private — or disappears.

Every picture you upload, every story you post — it's signed with your identity and stored with full ownership. No compression, no shadow copies, no backend database that keeps a copy just in case.

Your global feed is synced from peers, not fetched from a corporate server.

We don't decide what you see. You do.

When you sign up for SynQ Social, you don't create an account. You create a decentralized identity (DID) that lives on your device.

This identity is yours — cryptographically verified, recoverable with trusted friends, and resistant to impersonation. No phone number. No email. No central registry.

That's who you are — and it belongs to you, not us.

On SynQ Social, there are no middlemen. No single point of failure. Every feature — chat, posts, calls, storage — is distributed, encrypted, and governed by you.

Data Permanently Deleted

Upon initiating account deletion, the following data will be irreversibly erased after a 30-day period:

• Decentralized Identity: Your Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) are unlinked, and authentication tokens are securely deleted.
• Communications: All peer-to-peer messages, conversation histories, and shared files are deleted.
• Device-Level Authorizations: Any granted session tokens and application permissions are revoked.
• Posts and Moments: Content authored under your identity will be deleted on the peer-to-peer network.

This process is executed entirely on your device. No remote server or administrator is involved.

Data Archived or Remains on the Network

Due to the decentralized nature of the SynQ protocol, certain data cannot be “deleted” from the broader peer-to-peer network but will be archived or rendered inaccessible:

• Activity Logs and Public Handles: Logs and/or handles will be archived. These are rendered unlinked from your identity.
